A lot of people have been asking me about twitter lately. And I have some questions myself.

Should I join? Is this the new “thing” and will it become my next social networking obsession? I have so many addictions already–like early mornings spent returning myspace messages, and blogging from my phone when the mood strikes. But is it necessary to blog when you can Twit? Tweet?

At this point I promise that I will continue blogging, mainly because I love to do it… and I would keep a journal anyway, so it might as well be seen by the masses. I hear Twitter is better for short, frequent updates and stuff like that.

Sometimes I feel guilty because I don’t post new blogs very often. I don’t blog about all of my shoots, all the sex I have, my fantasies, or even the crazy shit that happens to me on a daily basis.

As I write this, I have a mental list of things I need to blog about–like movie releases, new pictures, links to my work etc. Didn’t I go to Seattle like a week ago? I still haven’t written about my POV fuck scene yet. And I would really like to post a blog about my wonderful experience with Virgin Airlines someday!

In the meantime I want to know more about Twitter. Is it as Twitillating as they say it is?

Extreme Associates Case Ends in Guilty Pleas

PITTSBURGH — Rob Black, Lizzy Borden and their company, Extreme Associates, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Gary L. Lancaster to one count each of conspiracy to distribute obscene materials.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 1.

Black and Borden face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The company faces up to five years probation and a $500,000 fine.

The sentencing range could be lower, depending on what set of advisory guidelines should be used — dating from either 2002 or today — and there also could be enhanced measures because the videos included sadistic or masochistic scenes.

Moments after Wednesday’s 9 a.m. hearing, adult industry attorney H. Louis Sirkin told reporters that plea negotiations in the case began a month ago.

“Concessions from both sides made it in the best interests of all parties [to plead guilty,]” he said. “This has gone on for a very, very long time. Everybody wants to get on with their lives.”

One of those concessions, Sirkin said, is that there will not be a battle to determine how much revenue the company received from the sale of videos, which could have significantly increased the potential prison time.

U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan said, “the materials produced by Extreme Associates were so far across the line between pornography and obscenity, we believe any jurisdiction across the country would have found the materials obscene.”

In 2002, an undercover U.S. Postal Service inspector bought pornographic videos through Extreme Associates’ membership site, ExtremeAssociates.com.

A federal grand jury indicted the couple in August 2003 on 10 counts of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. mailing obscene or crime-inducing matters and transporting obscene matter for sale.

Lancaster originally dismissed the case in January 2005, ruling that the anti-obscenity statutes were unconstitutional when applied to Extreme Associates because they violated an individual’s right to privacy.

The Justice Department appealed that ruling before the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which overruled Lancaster.

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Extreme’s appeal from the 3rd Circuit, sending the case back to Lancaster for trial. Upon learning of the Supreme Court’s refusal to hear the case, Zicari said it was “a big fuck you.”

Steven Hirsch of Vivid Entertainment Loses His Cool

LOS ANGELES – (March 11, 2009) – With a reputation as one of the most even-tempered and diplomatic gentlemen in his industry it will come as a surprise to everyone when Vivid Entertainment head Steven Hirsch losses his cool in the fifth episode of “Deeper Throat” to be broadcast on the Showtime cable network on Saturday night, March 14 (11:30 p.m.).

“Deeper Throat” tracks the behind-the-scenes adventures and negotiations that Hirsch went through with Arrow Productions to obtain the rights to make a new movie (“Throat”) loosely based on the original adult classic and the latest episode show just how stressful those dealings were. It may help to explain why the two companies continue to battle each other in court.

People who have seen an advance screening of the fifth episode of the series say Hirsch has a complete meltdown during a confrontation with Robert Interlandi, the Arrow production chief who is supposed to be looking after the interests of his boss Ray Pistol while Vivid was shooting “Throat.”

Interlandi complained loudly in earlier episodes about director Paul Thomas’ interpretation of the original movie, going so far as to wrap PT’s car in toilet paper.

The young studio exec continued to be disruptive as the production marched along, event as Hirsch shows up unannounced on the set. Within a few minutes Hirsch explodes, screaming at Interlandi. Looking back at the incident Hirsch says “In 25 years of producing movies, I’ve never seen anything like this. He’s a V.P. Production in name only as he hasn’t produced anything and we’re trying to operate a business, not play games.”

Last week Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David P. Yaffe rejected an argument by Pistol that Arrow would be damaged irreparably if Vivid released its version of the famous Linda Lovelace film. Arrow lawyers say they will pursue a breech-of-contract suit against Vivid.
